GREEN LIGHT - contest in on - Thursday 5/27 - 9AM - 2nd Overpass
Surf Contest Call Update: Wind forecasts are still calling for light offshores tomorrow AM, which is great news. Really hoping the sandbars hold up and don't get too washed away due to the size of the surf today. It's amazing how much it can change in a day, but we'll be praying we get waves tomorrow. PS - If it turns out to be bad surf for whatever reason, we can go to our backup venue, or hold the event for a few hours to see what happens.
10th Street vs. Crossovers: Got a question emailed to me about it being high tide on Thursday morning. I was worried about that as well, but checked in yesterday morning (Tuesday) at a similar tide as we will get Thursday and it was breaking well. I immediately checked the 10th Street area for comparison, and it was a lot mushier and breaking further out there. Also, even if it is a bit soft first thing, by the time we get a few heats underway, we'll be on the low tide swing of things and the surf should get better all morning (rather than getting worse at 10th Street).
Red Light - no contest within the next 72 hours
Yellow Light - contest may run within the next 72 hours
Green Light - contest is on within the next 48 hours
